The Kings vs. The Peppers

Let me talk about something that i have recently feel in love with. Before this past summer i had never heard of them, or really didn't care that they were alive. But once Kings of Leon preformed "Use Somebody" at the MTV Movie Awards this past year i was hooked. Much like the Red Hot Chili Peppers i had absolutely no idea who this band was and had never even heard any of their songs. But once i looked them up on Itunes i saw how talented and addicting this band was. Song after song, album after album i had more trouble looking for a song i didn't like.
It was unusual to me that i would fall in love with almost all the work of an artist, let alone a bands. Still it wasn't unfamiliar. During the summer of 2006 i still remember me hearing the Red Hot Chili Peppers for the first time. Immediately i was hooked. I went home and looked on the internet, which back then was still dial-up, and started to find all their older albums. I was so hooked by the Chili Peppers funk that once i knew they were coming to Phoenix i had to go. And ever since then i haven't been able to get enough of them.
Its funny that both of my favorite bands of all time came in similar situations and years later after their first albums came out. But now there is this conflicting desire to hear them both. I have made playlist for both of these bands and organized the songs the way i would like to hear them but still i find myself re-organizing both of them each week because i fall in love with another one of their songs. So now i really do not know what band can ultimately be better then the other. Yes Red Hot Chili Peppers has been out there longer and have that funk you just enjoy so much by this i think Kings of Leon might come in a very close second. Well that's my feelings about both of these artist and as i hope you can tell, i really enjoy listening to either one. So if you have heard of both of these bands, i urge you still, to go check out more of their work.. and if you haven't.. you do not know what you are missing.
