Saber and the Health Reform

Some of you may have remembered the controversy stirred up a couple of months ago by a graffiti artist that goes on by the name of SABER. Well if any of you have any experience with Fox News, you may know that it is certainly not the first news station you want to get any information from. SABER decided to enter in a public competition were the participants had to make a 30 second video concerning the support of the Democratic Health Reform. As you know, graffiti is already a controversial medium when it comes to art, but what SABER did for his interpretation and experience of the Health Care Reform was paint an American flag and then perceive to paint different slogan or words over it. Now it might seem like he was trying to deface the flag but his interpretation of his work was something else. Yet he really didn't mind all the scrutiny. SABER suffering from Epilepsy since he was young has a deep rooted connection with the Health Reform, because for years he has not been able to get insured. After SABER's video made it to the finalist the video found its way to Fox News were most of the controversy got started. Week after week he got bashed by their "many well spoken people". And the fact that it was done in spray paint added to the fire. Well the only thing SABER new what to do is continue with the controversy, by producing three medium sized multicolor prints. In actuality his argument of the flag video sounds pretty legitimate knowing how he interprets art, and the fact that he choose to make prints that resemble the same Health Care Reform issue makes him to me pretty admirable. Go check out the prints and check out the video on the whole issue that was blown out of proportion.
